Senior Patrol Leader Training – Beaver Program:
Beaver Program/SPL Training – 2010 Signup packett) – To improve your unit’s experience at Camp, this program allows you to have your SPL and/or another youth leader arrive one week before your troop. Participants receive:
a thorough orientation to Camp Whitsett so they can be more effective leaders and guides for the troop.
training to improve leadership skills and maximize use of the patrol method.
training in ethical choice making, resolving conflicts and serving as a positive role model for the scouts in the troop

1. Medical Form – ALL Participants must complete this form within 12 months of arrival at camp.
2. Special Scout Permission Form) – ALL minors must have their parents complete this form (includes permission to treat injuries, consent to participate, permission to use firearms, photo release, and release of minor).

Most hiring decisions are made by March 1st, but late applications are accepted.
Camp Whitsett is a Scout Camp owned by the Western Los Angeles County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It was founded in 1947 and has grown to serve nearly 2,500 scouts every summer as well as house a nationally accredited high adventure base.
