Leader Training
Training is important because every youth deserves a trained leader. The Boy Scouts of America provide a seamless training program that helps leaders graduate through their courses quickly, easily, and with little duplication, and provides the district training committee with tools to achieve 100 percent trained unit volunteers. This program begins with Fast Start training, continues with This Is Scouting, then follows up with leader-specific training for each adult’s role in the unit. The first two of these trainings are available online so as to be done from the comfort from your own home. Visit myscouting.org and create a new account to start your training today.
In addition to required trainings for each adult leader supplemental training is also available. Training sessions held at our monthly Roundtable meeting are open to all attendees regardless of whether they are registered unit leader or not.
